Our core AI and Product engineering team is being established in Melbourne, offering a unique opportunity to be part of a locally run, yet global operation.

The Opportunity:

As a Founding Engineer you'll play a senior role in defining our technical direction, product roadmap, and engineering culture from day one.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deploy core infrastructure, supporting agents, and scalable applications tailored for financial services, applying best practices in system design and software engineering.
• Lead the delivery of high-performance AI systems, balancing cutting-edge AI/ML innovation with practical, customer-centred solutions and robust supporting tech.
• Influence the company's strategic technical direction.
• Help design, hire, and scale our world-class Melbourne engineering team.
• Be a key technical leader, mentor, and innovator, fostering creativity and pragmatic problem-solving.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience working across the stack.
• Proven track record shipping and maintaining high-performance production applications.
• Resilience, determination and a proactive, positive approach to teamwork and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven technical leadership on large-scale systems; financial services experience not a requirement.
• Deep expertise in Product Engineering and have had demonstrated experience across information security and distributed systems.
• Exceptional communication and mentoring skills.
