✨The Opportunity

As a Security Solutions Engineer – APAC, you’ll be the go-to technical expert across the region, partnering with Account Executives to lead customer engagements from discovery to pilots and proof-of-value programs. You’ll help customers move from checkbox compliance to informed, strategic decision-making.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll shape not only deals, but how security leaders approach risk, investment, and compliance. You’ll join a startup at a critical growth stage, with the chance to influence GTM strategy and product direction.

🧩What You’ll Do

  • Lead discovery sessions to uncover technical requirements, risk context, and business drivers.
  • Translate customer needs into tailored solutions using CyberHQ’s capabilities in GRC, threat, and risk.
  • Run live demos showcasing automated compliance, attack simulations, and quantified risk.
  • Collaborate with AEs and partners to shape deals, co-present to prospects, and support co-sell motions.
  • Build business cases and value justifications for decision-makers and procurement processes.
  • Own technical validation: proof-of-value programs, pilot workshops, and product trials.
  • Capture product feedback and market insights to influence roadmap and features.
  • Help build repeatable processes, demo environments, and playbooks as the GTM team scales.

🔍 What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years in a technical pre-sales or solutions engineering role, ideally in cybersecurity, risk, or GRC Strong understanding of security/compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Essential Eight, DISP, GDPR.
  • Familiarity with risk quantification (FAIR), threat modeling (MITRE ATT&CK), or attack simulation tools.
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with CISOs, security leaders, and compliance professionals.
  • Excellent communicator - able to simplify complex technical concepts for business audiences.
  • Comfortable applying value-based selling principles and sales methodologies like MEDDPICC.
  • Independent, detail-driven, and thrives in a fast-moving startup environment.

Bonus Points

  • Previous experience in a high-growth startup or scaling GTM function.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise cybersecurity tools or attack simulation platforms.
  • Exposure to APAC regulatory and compliance landscapes
