We are seeking a talented and driven Strategic Planning and Investment Manager to join our team. In this role, you will report to and work closely with our CFO and executive team to shape the strategic direction of our business. You will be responsible for iterating our investment models, running growth experiments and initiatives, analysing and researching strategic opportunities, building out value models. Your insights and recommendations will be crucial in guiding our long-term plans and ensuring our continued success.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Investment Models: Collaborate with the CFO to iterate and refine our investment and budget models, ensuring they align with our strategic goals, effectively allocate resources and improve the businesses growth potential and profitability.
• Strategic Analysis & Research: Analyse and research potential strategic opportunities, such as entry into new segments or geographies. Form a comprehensive view of the drivers and macro forces that underpin future growth.
• Team Advisory: Act as a trusted partner and advisor to the executive team and broader leadership, providing insights and recommendations to guide strategic direction.
• Growth Experiments: Assist in designing, coordinating and running growth experiments (cross functionally) to identify, test, measure and capitalise on new opportunities.
• Business Cases: Develop comprehensive business cases to support strategic initiatives, acquisitions and investment decisions. Including due diligence and recommendations to the executive and board.

• Stakeholder Management & Presentation Skills: The ability to effectively engage with and manage relationships across key stakeholders. You’re skilled at delivering clear, impactful presentations that influence decision-making and drive action.
• Technology Fundraising and Valuations: A deep understanding of technology valuations and how they inform financial models. You bring valuable expertise in fundraising, particularly in the tech space, and understand the nuances that drive these processes.
• Long-Range Planning: A proven track record of building and executing multi-year strategic plans that align with business goals. You’re forward-thinking and can see the bigger picture while ensuring your strategies support sustainable growth.
• Data Analysis & Insights: Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to dive into complex data sets and extract meaningful insights. You know how to turn data into actionable strategies that drive business success and guide strategic decision-making.
• Professional background: You will be a high performer who may have come from professional services backgrounds – such as management consulting; investment banking; Big 4 accounting firms; or other M&A environments; who thrive with the fluidity and freedom of a fast-paced start-up environment. You lead with strength, integrity and a deep sense of responsibility and purpose.
