Marketing Manager
Varicon
Marketing Manager
You’ll be joining a small, driven team that’s solving real problems for an industry that’s ready for change. As our first marketing hire, you’ll have the freedom to shape our marketing function.
About Varicon
Varicon is a connected cost and field management platform purpose-built for civil construction. We help contractors gain real-time visibility into their costs, field operations, and profitability — all in one place. Our platform is growing fast across Australia, and we’re now looking for our first dedicated Marketing Manager to help shape how we tell our story and scale our growth.
The Role
This is a hands-on marketing role for someone who loves to own the full funnel — from strategy and execution to tracking performance. You’ll be our first full-time marketing hire, working directly with the founding team. You’ll build on what’s working, experiment with new channels, manage our freelancers (SEO, paid), and drive campaigns that generate demand and strengthen Varicon’s brand presence in the civil construction market.
What You’ll Do
Lead all marketing efforts end-to-end: strategy, planning, execution, and performance tracking
Manage and collaborate with existing freelancers handling SEO and performance marketing
Own our content and communication across website, email, LinkedIn, and other digital channels
Plan and execute lead generation campaigns targeting construction businesses across Australia
Collaborate with sales to refine messaging, create marketing collateral, and nurture leads through the funnel
Manage marketing operations with the support of our junior marketing ops team member
Work with the founders on brand positioning, storytelling, and campaign ideas that stand out in a traditional industry
Track ROI across all channels and continuously optimise based on data and outcomes
Build and maintain our website, analytics setup, and marketing tech stack as we scale
What We’re Looking For
4–6 years of experience in B2B marketing (preferably SaaS or tech)
Hands-on experience across multiple channels (email, paid, SEO, social, content, events)
Strong copywriting and storytelling ability, especially for technical or complex products
Experience managing freelancers, agencies, or contractors
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a lot of autonomy
Data-driven mindset — you care about performance, not just activity
Bonus: Experience marketing to the construction or industrial sector
